GetxoPhoto is a festival dedicated to image that takes place in Getxo (Basque Country) that brings together photographers and visual storytellers from around the world. This year's edition explores the theme of conflict, focusing on its aftermath and the reconstruction of post-conflict dialogue, highlighting how reframing a broken discourse can open new possibilities and relationships.

We asked ourselves: How can we reformulate dialogue in a post-conflict period? The central idea is the creation of a square on the verge of breaking, symbolizing the fragility and tension inherent in post-conflict situations. However, the square is also on the verge of rebuilding, reflecting the potential for reconstruction, dialogue, and reconciliation.

A key aspect of GetxoPhoto is its strong support for public space, with most works displayed in streets and public areas, allowing for various applications of the visual identity.
